The DL110 has a removable battery that charges via a Type-C port on the battery, has a capacity of 10,000mAh, and supports one year of remote control or two years of local control. Q: What happens if the DL110 battery dies?
The DL110 will send a low battery warning before it runs out of power. However, if your smart lock is completely dead before the battery is changed, your key will still work. You can use the key to lock and unlock the door. If you don't have your key with you, you can also temporarily power the lock with something like a rechargeable battery to unlock it using your fingerprint/PIN Code. Q: What door locks is the DL110 suitable for?
Tapo DL110 is compatible with single cylinders, not with integrated locks and mortise locks.

Q: Can I control the DL110 locally only?
DL110 supports disabling Wi-Fi and connecting to the device via Bluetooth, which means it operates in local control mode. In this mode, you can only connect to the lock through Bluetooth when you are physically near it.

Q: Can I change the built-in doorbell ringtone?
No, the built-in doorbell ringtone is fixed. But you can change the ringtone of the paired chimes in Device Settings > Doorbell > Paired Chimes.
Q: What is the waterproof and dustproof level of DL110?
The exterior assembly of the DL110 adopts a waterproof structure, supporting IP65, which can be installed in outdoor door scenarios.
But the interior assembly is not waterproof. Please do not place in an environment that is too humid or prone to water ingress.
Q: Do I need to subscribe to use the door lock feature?
There are no additional subscription fees to use Tapo DL110.
Q: Can I program the DL110 and other Tapo devices via Smart Action?
Yes, the door lock supports multiple smart action triggers and actions:
Trigger: Unlocked (by Any Method/Specified Person), Locked, Doorbell pressed, Alarm Triggered.
Action: Turn on/off the Locking/Unlocking notifications.
Q: Can I switch the Wi-Fi network for DL110 directly on the Tapo app?
If you change your ISP or router and need to reconnect the DL110 to Wi-Fi, you can connect to the DL110 via Bluetooth near the DL110, then go to the Device Settings page of DL110 and reconnect the DL110 directly to the new Wi-Fi without resetting the DL110.

Q: How many ways can DL110 be locked/unlocked?
The DL110 offers four unlocking methods: app unlocking, physical key unlocking, password unlocking, and fingerprint unlocking. It offers five locking methods: app locking, thumb latch locking, registered fingerprint locking, manual locking (including one-touch locking or verification locking), and automatic locking.
Q: Will DL110 lock automatically after I unlock it?
You can enable the Auto Lock feature in case you forget to lock the door. You can also set a Disable Auto Lock schedule to disable auto lock within a set time. To enable the Auto Lock feature, go to Device Settings > Lock Settings > Auto Lock.
Q: How can I change my existing password?
No, you cannot change the existing password on the Tapo app directly once you have set it up, but you can create a new password and delete the old one. To learn how to add a new password, please refer to the following guide.

Q: Can I still control the DL110 if the router's Wi-Fi suddenly doesn't work?
Yes, if the router’s Wi-Fi goes down for some reason, you can still connect to the DL110 via Bluetooth when you are next to the device.
Q: What is Wrong-Try Protection?
Wrong-Try Protection is a security feature of DL110. When the failed fingerprint attempts reach the limit you set, you can use the PIN code to unlock. If the limit of PIN code attempts is reached, both methods will be in lockdown for the time you set. You can enable this feature in Device Settings > Security Settings > Wrong-Try Protection via the Tapo app.
Q: How does Scramble PIN Code work?
With the Scramble PIN Code feature turned on, you can enter decoy digits before and after your passcode to prevent others from snooping on your actual access password. Using a Scramble PIN Code makes your actual password longer so that others will have a harder time remembering it. The total length should be no more than 20 digits. To set the Scramble PIN Code, go to Device Settings > Security Settings > Scramble PIN Code.
Q: How to check the Smart Lock Events
You can view unlocking, locking status, and other activity on the door lock in its timeline via Event Log. Tap Event Log on the Status page. If you want to save the log to the Cloud, you can enable Log Backup.
Q: How many passwords can be stored in the DL110?
Together, One-time code and normal code can store a total of 200.
And for emergency codes, you can generate up to 16 codes every 4 hours.
