Cannot Find a Kasa device in Tapo App During Setup

 

1. Try searching for your Kasa device by typing in its model.

2. Make sure you select the Kasa Brand before searching for your device.

3. Some devices are not yet available in the Tapo App, but compatibility is planned to be added soon. (Not Yet Available: KP125M,EP40A,EP25(BLE),KS205,KS225,KS200,KS220,KS230KIT, KS240, and others.).

 

If you encounter an issue where you are unable to find a Kasa device in the Tapo app during setup, please refer to the troubleshooting options below.

 

If you cannot find the device model when adding a new Kasa device:

- Ensure you have selected “Kasa” as the brand when adding the device.

- Attempt to find your Kasa device by typing in its mode via the in-app search function during setup.

If you cannot find existing Kasa devices when linking Kasa and Tapo

- Verify if the Kasa account in use is the same as the one used for Tapo. Kasa devices will be unable to sync with the Tapo App if they're bound with different TP-Link ID.

- The Kasa models listed below are not available in the Tapo App at this moment. More Kasa models are planned for future integration with Tapo, so please stay tuned!
